Corporate Trainer
The corporate trainer will provide and develop appropriate employee-oriented training on the WaterBus policies, procedures and operating principles and practice to lead Globology in meeting its goals and objectives. This is a new position in the company, and a successful candidate should be able to develop the new role from scratch. A strong self starter with a proven ability to develop and grow a new role is desired.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop safety training modules, hands on demonstrations for company operating and safety procedures
Monitor the effectiveness of trainings.
Instil company procedures and best practice through induction meetings, toolbox talks, operational training and testing
Prepare for, organize, and conduct hands-on, participatory health and safety training educational sessions that introduce employees to the workplace.
Support Safety Officer in developing effective training content to communicate policy and practice.
Prepare a monthly, quarterly and yearly training schedule for all the workplaces (production yard and operation team)
conducting quarterly/yearly training evaluations to the employees.
Providing insight to the management on knowledge gaps and concerns identified during the training sessions.
Provide support to the Safety Officer in updating the internal policies and procedures based on reviews gathered from the employees during the training sessions.
Proactively work with the operation team, production team and the Safety Officer to train staff on safety, health, environmental, quality and operational requirements across the business
Train/update the employees on the corrective actions to be implemented based on Incidents at the workplace
Qualifications
Previous experience as a trainer
Experience in providing educational training to workers using different education/interactive approaches
Demonstrate experience in creating training materials
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Basic IT skills, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload
Ability to work effectively with different groups
Must demonstrate leadership quality and be able to work with minimal supervision
Experience with environmental or health & safety organizations, maritime field/organizations.
Formal Qualifications are a plus but passion and the ability to motivate and communicate goals are highly valued for this role.
